1978 Ford Ranger F100 Restoration And Conversion To A Lariat Edition (Part 2) – San Diego, California

I’m finally putting the 1978 Ford F100 Ranger back together. This is a frame-off restoration, and is being converted to a Lariat edition. This stage is the most exciting parts of any restoration. All parts have been striped and painted, sandblasted and powder coated, or replaced with both NOS and reproduction parts. It’s like starting with a clean slate with no grease or grime. Every part will be installed with new correct hardware from AMK Products. They make almost every nut and bolt from the original Ford tooling. Since they did not offer a hardware kit for this truck, I had to spend hours matching every nut and bolt to their catalog. I will be updating the pictures as it comes back together. You’ll get to see all the details involved, and you’ll see no part untouched. Enjoy!
